Monthly Coalition Meeting
This month only, we will be holding an all-virtual meeting at a new time, 12:15pm-1:15pm
Parent Presentation- Vaping 101: from understanding to action
We will be supporting Peoria Unified School District provide this free virtual presentation for parents of their students. This presentation will help parents understand the dangers of vaping, identifying if their child may be using, and actions they can take.
National Coalition Academy Training
As part of our grant requirement, we will be attending a four-day training to support us in developing a stronger, more sustainable coalition. We look forward to sharing key take aways at our May coalition meeting to work with the rest of the coalition in completing the steps to develop key resources.
Bike & Car Show
We will be supporting this fentanyl awareness car and bike show by hosting a booth with free resources to educate the community on the dangers of fentanyl in addition to free Narcan and Narcan Training.
Fentanyl Awareness & Narcan Training
Translation in Kinyarwanda and Kiswahili This presentation is to educate parents and provide resource and actions they can take to educate their children on the dangers of fentanyl and resources to protect them.
Resource Fair
We will host a booth to provide Narcan & substance prevention resources to families and demonstrate the danger of impairment with fun activities using impairment simulated goggles.
High School Presentation- Danger of Marijuana & Brain Development
As part of health education, we will support Mountain Ridge in educating students on the dangers of marijuana with an emphasis on the developing brain.
Catch My Breath Program
We will be supporting the 5th grade at Desert Spirit learn about the dangers of vaping.
