Glendale Youth Conference Empowers Youth to Lead in the areas of Mental Health and Substance Use Prevention
National movement engages students to create youth-led drug prevention communities
Vive18, a drug prevention platform that empowers and equips middle school, high school and college students with skills for mental health advocacy and drug prevention, will kick off its two-day Youth Leadership Conference in Glendale, Ariz. on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7.
The conference will engage 100+ student leaders in grades 6-12 with a high-energy interactive experience built to create a youth-led drug prevention community and ignite work that saves lives. The conference is hosted by Vive18’s national prevention educators who have worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) and other coalitions across the nation.
“Students today have access to drugs almost everywhere - that’s why it’s so important for us to educate them and deliver the truth about drug use so they can make informed choices about what they let into their brain and body,” said Jake White, co-founder of Vive18 who has presented to more than 100,000+ students and educators across the country. “Vive18 exists to save lives and challenge culture. By helping youth make educated decisions about drugs, we challenge all students to rewrite social norms around drug use while protecting their friends and their future.”
